Jahnabi Swargiyari, a native of Upper Assam (India) who groomed in enriched & self empowered tribal culture. Since childhood, she has been passionately experiencing the work of naturally gifted weavers around her and this has led Jahnabi to creatively transform the passion into fairy tales on famous Pure Assam Silk.

Experiencing this more particularly, since early 90s and taking lead from these unique hand woven fabrics, she has started to convert creative imagination into elegant design which is rich in tradition and sparkle vibrant colours.Jahnabi nurtures creativity with innovative design focusing on simplicity & elegance.

Her Entrepreneurial Journey

Having started her venture Harshita’s Fashion in year 2012 keeping the art of applying design, aesthetics, clothing construction and natural beauty to clothing and its accessories. It is influenced by culture and different trends, and has varied over time and place,as a fashion designer Jahnabi conceives garment or dresses with combinations of line, proportion, color and texture.
There is an ever growing demand for weavers who can come up with innovative designs that are commercially viable in both domestic and export markets. With fashion becoming a big business and India emerging as one of the major players in the global apparel market, the need for qualified dress materials has increased tremendously keeping the quality and design trends.

The collection promises to enhance the feminism and elegance of a woman with its variety of signature Mekhela Chador, Structured Saree, Flowy-Gowns, Drape-Skirts and Indo-Western Lehengas. The couture continues to celebrate Indian handloom and ensures contemporary ethnic assembles for women from all walks of life adds Jahnabi.

Over the years her venture has patronized several organizations and weavers working in remote areas and helped in developing skills and taking them to the market and been able to cross milestones and striving for excellence and continuous growth with expansion in business growth in the age-old traditional art of weaving by putting uniqueness of Assam’s fabrics to global forums.
